Limited brewing Kagua Japanese Citrus Saison released ~Saison style limited Kagua~

TOKYO, Japan –June 2017 – Far Yeast Brewing Company (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo / Managing Director: Shiro Yamada) is pleased to announce that for a limited time it will be brewing Kagua Japanese Citrus Saison, which will be sold alongside the other Japanese-infused flavors in its premium craft beer line Kagua.

KAGUA Japanese Citrus Saison press

Classified as a saison-style beer, Kagua Japanese Citrus Saison’s ingredients harmonize the fresh and vivid aroma of the Japanese herbs of “yuzu” and “sansho.” While the former is being sourced from Umaji village in Kochi Prefecture and the latter is from Aridagawa village in Wakayama Prefecture, both are of the highest quality available. Yuzu and sansho have long been used in the Kagua series, but they are now being combined with the fruity aroma of the saison’s yeast to produce the limited-run beer.

The excitement and soft carbonic acid of the Kagua Series remain intact, according to Far Yeast Brewing Company, adding that it still finishes with a dry taste to match its light body and has an alcohol content of 6%. The company said fans will be able to best enjoy the freshness of the latest offering by chilling it well and pairing it with colorful summer salads filled with ripe vegetables, perfectly smoked tuna full of fatty goodness, juicy roasted chicken right out of the oven or any dish that features the rich, complex herbal flavors commonly found in Asian cuisine.

Just as the traditional Kagua Rouge and Blanc are intended to be enjoyed with a relaxingly meal, Kagua Japanese Citrus Saison can be used as such or is also suitable as an aperitif. Whether relaxing with close friends or making new acquaintances, Far Yeast Brewing Company said that Kagua Japanese Citrus Saison will serve as the perfect first glass of any important gathering.

To enjoy Kagua’s unique rich aroma and make the most of the experience, the company highly recommends using a wine glass, especially for Kagua Japanese Citrus Saison. Looking into the future, Far Yeast Brewing Company said it plans to continue incorporating new items similar to this limited brewed product and aims to offer beverages that people will be pleased to enjoy during any and all occasions.

ABOUT KAGUA

Kagua is a unique ale…unlike anything you’ve tasted.

Painstakingly brewed by a renowned Belgian brewer following recipes created by Far Yeast Brewing Company, production began after testing 14 prototypes over the course of four years. From gathering raw materials, establishing manufacturing methodology, arranging logistics protocols, and designing the bottle; the company pursues the highest quality of all aspects.

The Kagua brand is comprised of two varieties. Kagua Blanc is a light-colored top-fermented beer brewed with wheat, while Kagua Rouge is a dark-colored top-fermented beer brewed with roasted malt. Both Kagua Blanc and Rouge utilize traditional Japanese yuzu and sansho.

With a complex aroma and an exquisitely balanced profile of sweetness, bitterness and freshness, Kagua plays an integral role in the marriage between food and beverage.
