■Japanese Lager made with cypress wood thinned from forests in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, to preserve the water source.
Kosuge Village in Yamanashi Prefecture, where Genryu Brewery is located, is an area surrounded by many cedar and cypress trees. Thinning is carried out to protect the healthy growth and ecosystem of this rich forest, and the resulting thinning wood is a renewable resource.
For "Hinara-gaa," we had "Tsukuruza Co., Ltd.", a company in Kosuge Village that proposes a rich lifestyle through the use of wood, a renewable resource, process 14 kg of cypress wood into wood chips, which are used to flavor the beer. We also added Saaz hops, which are characterized by their herb-like aroma, to create a refreshing lager reminiscent of forests and trees.
