KAGUA
Beer that complements a Japanese dining table

Ale with a Japanese aroma
In pursuit of the Japanese fragrance, KAGUA uses Japanese herbs, sansho pepper and yuzu, which are rare even on a global scale, as ingredients.
This is a "Japanese-scented ale" based on the concept of "a fragrant aroma that will complement a Japanese dining table."

Art design by Kaguya Kagua
The "KAGUA" logo, modeled after a crest, embodies the promise of reliable quality. One of the things that "KAGUA" is particular about is the bottle and label design, which is simple enough to not get in the way of any occasion, and has a refined elegance that brings out the refined cuisine that is the main attraction, while still possessing a dignified individuality.

raw materials
In pursuit of the fragrant Japanese flavor, Kaowa uses Japanese herbs, sansho pepper and yuzu, which are rare even on a global scale, as ingredients.
The sansho pepper and yuzu used in KAGUA are purchased directly from designated production areas in Japan, where they are highly regarded for their excellent fragrance.
Furthermore, we use an excellent premium yeast, which is essential for brewing and has a major impact on the final flavor, and is said to be used only by a select few famous beers. Without this, it would be impossible to maximize the rich and bold originality that is unique to Kawa. -
manufacturing
In order to commercialize the "Kaowa Original Recipe," which was perfected through trial and error under the concept of "the scent of harmony," at a high level, we looked at several breweries around the world as potential production partners. Among them, we came across a brewer in the suburbs of Ghent, Belgium, who we found to be one of the few brewers with the knowledge, experience, and curiosity to bring our unique "Kaowa Original Recipe" to life. As we deepened our relationship with him, we came to the conclusion that we could trust him and entrust him with production.
In addition, a professor emeritus at a world-class university and a leading expert in hop research has endorsed Kawa's concept and promised to provide ongoing support.
Their challenge and passion are essential to fully embodying the originality and unique characteristics of "KAGUA" and maintaining a consistent high level of quality. -
Logistics Process
KAGUA is made with the utmost care and attention to every ingredient, without compromise. To ensure that the quality is not compromised and the product is delivered from the brewery 10,000 kilometers away to your table, KAGUA has pursued a logistics process that is one step above the rest, in other words, a logistics process on par with that used for fine wine.
Pour "KAGUA" into your glass and enjoy the quality that allows you to feel the air of the region and even the breath of the brewer. -
Art Design
We appointed an up-and-coming artist active on the international stage as the art director, and what he sought for the world of "KAGUA" was to express the elegance and warmth that Japan has long cherished, while remaining extremely simple and refined.
The "KAGUA" logo, modeled after a crest, embodies the promise of reliable quality. By arranging it in the traditional Japanese colors of "chalk color" and "madder color," the brand expresses its unique worldview.
One of the things that KAGUA is particular about is its bottle and label design, which is simple enough to not get in the way of any occasion, and has a refined elegance that brings out the sophisticated food that is the main attraction, while still possessing a dignified individuality.

In a wine glass
"KAGUA" is a sake characterized by its fragrant aroma. When served in a wine glass (or a Daiginjo glass, etc.), the distinctive, elegant and unique aroma of "KAGUA" is further enhanced. KAGUA can be enjoyed either in its clear state, with the yeast allowed to settle, or in its cloudy state, after being slightly shaken. Please try each to experience its unique characteristics.
