About the International Beer Cup
This is a beer competition hosted by the Japan Craft Beer Association. It has been held annually since 1996. (Before 2013, it was called the International Beer Competition.) Although it is a competition held in Japan, it does not only judge domestic and craft beers, but also beers from overseas.

This year, we received seven awards, the most ever for our company.
From the classic brand "Far Yeast," all four products were awarded, including all of the "Tokyo Series" brands and "Far Yeast Hop Frontier -Juicy IPA-," which joined the classic brand in 2021, making it a great honor for the brand to win prizes.
In addition, many limited edition products that attempted new styles and brewing methods also won awards, and as a company that advocates promoting a variety of craft beers, this result shows that we are realizing our mission and working to improve quality.
Going forward, all of our staff will continue to work hard under the slogan "Democratizing Beer - Reclaiming the diversity and richness of beer."
[About the award-winning beer]
Bottle/Can category: Bamberg-Style Helles Rauchbier [Gold Award]
 Far Yeast ARCADIA

Smoked Helles is brewed with malt smoked using thinned wood from the peach and cherry orchards of the Kofu Basin. The clean sweetness of the malt and the sweet, gentle smoky aroma of fruit trees that doesn't overpower the base lager, along with pleasant carbonation, all combine to create a well-balanced, highly drinkable product. This striking product evokes the spring scenery of the Kofu Basin, known as "Shangri-La."
Bottle/Can Category: Wood- and Barrel-Aged Sour Beer [Gold Award]
 Off Trail Sleeping Dragon
"Off Trail" is a project that continues to create unique, innovative beers that cannot be replicated, primarily using barrel aging techniques that utilize microorganisms other than brewer's yeast. This project distinguishes itself from the "well-paved road" by forging ahead on unpaved roads. This Barrel Aged Miso Gose is a blend of sour blonde ale aged for 13 months in red wine oak barrels, with miso added. It's a collaboration with Gomi Shoyu, a long-established company in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, that has been making Koshu miso using natural brewing methods in wooden barrels since its founding in 1868. The acidity of the base beer and the saltiness of the miso are well balanced, resulting in a complex flavor that combines the fruitiness of white wine with the funky character of "Off Trail."

Far Yeast Farm to Brew 2023

This fresh hop beer is made at Kobayashi Hop Farm in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, by our staff, who harvest the fresh hops that morning and put them into the brewing kettle on the same day. Hops begin to oxidize the moment they are harvested, and are said to deteriorate quickly. In order to extract as much of the delicate aromatic components as possible, we minimize the time between harvest and putting the hops into the brewing kettle, thereby maximizing the aroma and flavor of the fresh hops, making this a special beer that is only available during the hop harvest season.
