The results of the Asia Beer Championship 2020 were announced on Wednesday, November 18th, with Far Yeast Tokyo White winning the Gold Award in the Season category.
Additionally, Far Yeast Brewing won awards in four categories: "Ume-kin' Me Crazy!" won a silver medal in the Wild Ale category, "Kriek in the flesh" won a silver medal in the Fruit Flavored Beer category, and "Peach Haze" was named Chairman's Selection in the New England Style IPA category.
About the Asia Beer Championship
The Asia Beer Championship is an international beer competition in which breweries from all over Asia, from Jordan to Japan, participate. There are 22 categories, with Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals awarded in each category. High-quality beers that meet the required standards are also selected for the Chairman's Selection.
This year, the tasting took place in Singapore on November 6th and 7th, and the results were announced at a ceremony streamed live online on November 18th.

Ume-kin' Me Crazy!
As the second installment of the "Yamanashi Support Project," which aims to promote Yamanashi Prefecture through beer, this beer is brewed using plums from Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture. Plums are added to a barrel-aged wheat strong ale made with Belgian yeast, and the resulting blend creates a complex sour ale with a refreshing plum aroma.

Kriek in the flesh
This fruit sour ale was brewed in collaboration with Culmination Brewing, a brewery in Portland, Oregon, USA. Its vibrant ruby color is rich with the acidity of American cherries and a fruity aroma. It has almost no sweetness and a dry finish.

PEACH HAZE
As the first in the "Yamanashi Support Project," this hazy-style pale ale is brewed using plenty of peaches from Yamanashi Prefecture, and has a fresh peach aroma. It's not overly sweet, but has a dry and juicy finish.
