The Far Yeast Brewing Women’s Team was responsible for this project. Two female brewers, Ellen, who came to Japan from Taiwan on a working holiday last July and joined FYB, and Alessia, who came to Japan from Italy last November as a guest brewer, were the main members of the team, and female staff from various occupations were involved from planning to brewing.
The style chosen was a strong Rye IPA using YAKIMA CHIEF HOPS® “Pink Boots Blend 2023,” a blend created for the PinkBootsCollaboration Brew Day®.The slightly spicy rye-derived flavor and the intense tropical flavor ofPink Boots Blend’s Ahtanum, El Dorado, HBC 638, Idaho 7, and the earthy aroma of Sabro and five different hops evoke a gorgeous, yet powerful woman.
This product represents our commitment to take the right step in raising awareness of women and non-binary people in craft brewing through this project.The gorgeous label design was created by Naoko Kamiyama, an illustrator living in Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture. The motif incorporates mimosa, rye, and hops, which are symbols of International Women’s Day, as well as flowers associated with the countries of origin of the members involved in this project: Italy, Taiwan, and Japan.
