■Japanese Lager made with cypress wood thinned from forests in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, to preserve the water source.
Kosuge Village in Yamanashi Prefecture, where Genryu Brewery is located, is an area surrounded by many cedar and cypress trees. Thinning is carried out to protect the healthy growth and ecosystem of this rich forest, and the resulting thinning wood is a renewable resource.
For "Hinara-gaa," we had "Tsukuruza Co., Ltd.", a company in Kosuge Village that proposes a rich lifestyle through the use of wood, a renewable resource, process 14 kg of cypress wood into wood chips, which are used to flavor the beer. We also added Saaz hops, which are characterized by their herb-like aroma, to create a refreshing lager reminiscent of forests and trees.
Far Yeast Hinoragaa will begin shipping to beer bars, restaurants, and liquor stores nationwide from Wednesday, March 19th, and will be available on the Far Yeast Brewing official online store from Friday, March 21st.

[About Brewed with YAMANASHI]
"Brewed with YAMANASHI" started as the "Yamanashi Support Project" with the desire to revitalize local industry through brewing beer using local products. In October of the same year, the company's headquarters were relocated from Shibuya to Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, where the brewery is located, further strengthening collaboration with producers and businesses within the prefecture. In 2024, the fifth year of the project, the name was changed from "Yamanashi Support Project" to "Brewed with YAMANASHI" in light of the shift from "supporting the local area" to "co-creation with the local area."
To date, they have brewed products using local produce, such as "Peach Haze" made with peaches from Yamanashi City, "Ume-kin' Me Crazy!" made with plums from Kosuge Village where the brewery is located, "GRAPEVINE" made with grapes from Koshu City, and "Omoiro Tomato Ale" made with tomatoes from Hokuto City. Along with their beers, they are promoting the charm of Yamanashi across the country.
