■ Local products created in collaboration with farmers in Yamanashi Prefecture Far Yeast Brewing, which has a brewery in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture , is focusing on brewing beer in collaboration with producers and businesses within the prefecture in an effort to promote the charm of the region through its products. This time, in collaboration with farmers in the prefecture, they will be releasing a tomato ale called "Tomachiera," an evolved version of "Omoiro Tomato Ale," which was released in 2021. "Omoiro Tomato Ale" is a beer made by upcycling additive-free tomato juice that was lost due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, in collaboration with Lycopel Co., Ltd., an agricultural production corporation in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. While a unique product, it has received high praise both inside and outside the company, leading to its revival.

In addition to teaming up with Lycopel, who they did with the previous work, they also collaborated with Yoda Farm Co., Ltd. in Chuo City, and this work uses plenty of fresh tomatoes.

A rich vegetable ale with the delicious flavor of tomatoes accented by a variety of spices
"Tomachiera" uses 550kg of fresh tomatoes from Lycopel and Yoda Farms. They are not overcooked, allowing for the freshness and acidity of the raw tomatoes to shine through. The recipe is based on the previous "Omoiro Tomato Ale," but the balance of spices has been improved. The umami of the tomatoes is accentuated with celery, basil, and shiitake mushrooms, while the citrus flavor of Citra hops and coriander, along with a variety of spices, create a unique and flavorful vegetable ale.

The name "Tomachiera" was inspired by the Mexican beer cocktail "Michelada," and is derived from "tomato" + "chela" (beer). It's a unique product that makes you feel like you're eating a tomato dish with plenty of spices. We recommend drinking it snow-style by adding salt to the rim of the glass, or sprinkling a few drops of Tabasco sauce on top to taste.

"Tomachiera" will be available for purchase in limited quantities on the Far Yeast Brewing official web store from 12:00 on Tuesday, December 12th . Purchases on the official web store and shipments to beer bars, restaurants, and liquor stores nationwide will begin sequentially from Wednesday, December 13th.
