Far Yeast Brewing × FUKUOKA CRAFT East-West Collaboration: Hazy IPA "Far Yeast HI NO DE" Made with Kyushu-grown Kabosu Citrus Fruit, Limited Release on Tuesday, November 14th
In collaboration with Fukuoka brewery " Fukuoka Craft Brewing (hereafter referred to as FUKUOKA CRAFT)," we will be releasing a limited edition East Coast IPA (Hazy IPA) "Far Yeast HI NO DE" made with Kyushu-grown kabosu on Tuesday, November 14th.
■ Cross-collaboration connecting the east and west of Japan
Far Yeast Brewing has had a long-standing relationship with FUKUOKA CRAFT, having previously brewed their products before starting their own brewing business. This time, a cross-collaboration between the two breweries, Far Yeast Brewing in Yamanashi and FUKUOKA CRAFT in Fukuoka, has been realized, linking the east and west of Japan.
Far Yeast Brewing will sell East Coast IPA (Hazy IPA) made with kabosu citrus fruits from Kyushu, while FUKUOKA CRAFT will sell West Coast IPA made with blueberries from Yamanashi. The East IPA will be named after "sunrise" (Higashi) and the West IPA will be named after "sunset" (Higashi). The beer's color is also aimed for a golden yellow like the morning sun and a reddish-purple like the magic hour at dusk.
Brewers from both breweries participated in the brewing of each beer. This initiative is in keeping with the craft beer culture, where breweries foster connections and mutual respect while cherishing local flavor. This collaborative product is like the sun, shining a bright light on the future of the community.
■ Juicy and drinkable with a kabosu aroma
This latest release is Far Yeast Brewing's first classic hazy IPA in a long time. Its cloudy appearance, typical of East Coast IPAs, evokes the golden color of ripe kabosu citrus fruits, reminiscent of the morning sun. The juicy flavor, which combines the dominant citrus aroma with a sweet vanilla aroma, has a mellow mouthfeel, while the refreshing aroma of kabosu lingers until the very end, making it even more drinkable than it looks.
"Far Yeast HI NO DE " will be available for purchase in limited quantities on the Far Yeast Brewing official web store from 12:00 on Tuesday, November 14th . Purchases on the official web store and shipments to beer bars, restaurants, and liquor stores nationwide will begin sequentially from Wednesday, November 15th.
FUKUOKA CRAFT's product, " HI NO IRI West Coast IPA ," went on sale on Wednesday, November 8th. On Saturday, November 18th and Sunday, November 19th, our directly managed store, " BEERHOLIC Far Yeast Fukuoka ," and FUKUOKA CRAFT's directly managed store, " FUKUOKA CRAFT by El Borracho ," will be holding simultaneous events featuring brewers from both companies. During the event, " BEERHOLIC Far Yeast Fukuoka " will be serving beers from both breweries, including "Far Yeast HI NO DE" and "HI NO IRI West Coast IPA."
