Apology and Notice Regarding Voluntary Recall of "Far Yeast Momo Common" Products

Apology and Notice Regarding Voluntary Product Recall Target product: "Far Yeast Momo Common"

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support.
We are pleased to announce that some cans of "Far Yeast Momo Common" sold by Far Yeast Brewing Co., Ltd. have been found to have abnormal carbon dioxide pressure (gas pressure higher than our company's standards). Due to concerns about the following impacts, we will be voluntarily recalling the affected products.

■ Major effects of concern: ・Distortion and expansion of the top and bottom of the can ・Possibility of overflow when opening ・Excessive foaming when pouring into a glass

The cause of this may have been a flaw in the fruit processing and addition process, and we will continue to investigate the cause further. Additionally, no abnormalities in the flavor of this product have been found.
We sincerely apologize to our customers and business partners for the great concern and inconvenience this has caused. We will strive to further strengthen our quality control system to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
*This issue is believed to be solely due to an abnormality in carbon dioxide pressure, and no deterioration in flavor or ingredients has been confirmed. There is no problem even if you have already consumed the product.

■FAQ
・I've already drunk it, but is it okay (from a health perspective)?
This incident is believed to be solely due to an abnormality in carbon dioxide pressure, and no deterioration in flavor or ingredients has been confirmed. There is no problem if you continue to drink the product.

- We would like a detailed explanation of the cause. There may have been a flaw in our fruit processing and addition process, and we will continue to investigate the cause further.

- Please explain in detail the measures to prevent recurrence. We are currently reviewing our manufacturing process and QC (quality control) checkpoints. We are currently discussing specific measures to prevent recurrence internally.

-Are Far Yeast's other beers okay?
We are currently investigating beers that contain fruit. At this time, no similar abnormalities have been found in other products.

- Why is it being recalled now, more than five months after its release?
Since the product was completed, we have noticed a gradual increase in carbon dioxide pressure, and have determined that it is no longer safe for customers to drink.

-Is there a risk of explosion?
If a strong impact is applied, the can may deform or burst, causing the contents to leak, so please store it in a bag and refrigerate it.
When we tested an internal sample of Momo Common, we found that the carbon dioxide volume was around 3.8. While this is quite high for a beer, considering that typical carbonated drinks and champagne have a carbon dioxide volume of over 5.0, we believe that this level is not enough to lead to a dangerous phenomenon such as an explosion.
