Release of limited edition "Far Yeast WESTBOUND 3rd Brut IPA"
Share
Starting Thursday, April 11th, we will be releasing the limited edition craft beer "Far Yeast WESTBOUND 3rd Brut IPA" as our third collaboration beer with BEERSONIC (Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture).
"Far Yeast WESTBOUND 3rd Brut IPA" is the third in Far Yeast's new collaboration beer, created in collaboration with "BEERSONIC," an indie liquor store in Fukuoka Prefecture that connects craft beer with various cultures, with the theme of "hoppy."
This product is a Brut IPA characterized by a juicy hop aroma reminiscent of mango and passion fruit, and an extremely dry taste.
*Brut IPA is an IPA with a dry, hoppy taste. It is not as bitter as the tropical-flavored American IPA. Because of its characteristic dry flavor, it was named "Brut," a term used to describe the sweetness of champagne and sparkling wine. The first Brut IPA to be sold commercially is said to be "Kim Sturdavant," made by "Social Kitchen and Brewery" in San Francisco, USA.
Information on past collaboration beers can be found here. ・First release: Far Yeast WESTBOUND Session IPA ・Second release: "Far Yeast WESTBOUND Session IPA 2nd"WESTBOUND 3rd Brut IPA brewing
As this was their third collaboration, the preparations were carried out in a friendly atmosphere from start to finish.

~From Seigo Fukahori of BEERSONIC~
"We brewed this one-off collaboration beer to celebrate our store opening, and before we knew it, it was our third. This is all thanks to Far Yeast beer lovers all over the country and the beer sonic maniacs of Fukuoka. Thank you so much. And we've done it again. For those of you who think, "Oh, just another collaboration beer...", this time it's not a Session IPA, but a BRUT IPA. The label was designed by Toyameg , who creates pop works from Fukuoka and has collaborated with many musicians. It's a juicy, crisp, and pop "hoppy beer". Enjoy it as spring arrives!"~From the Far Yeast Brewing Brewing Team~
"This is the third in the WESTBOUND series, a collaboration beer with BEERSONIC! This time, it's a solid 6.9% alcohol, but it's a dry Brut IPA. We used a large amount of Nelson Sauvin, Hallertau Blanc, and Idaho 7 hops. The aroma of white wine and peach spreads on the palate, followed by a slight acidity and citrus and berry-like taste. As the temperature rises, peach, grapefruit, and tropical flavors emerge. It's dry and crisp, with a juicy taste from the large amount of hops that fills your mouth, but the result is a soft and elegant taste that makes you forget all about it. We also paid particular attention to creating a strong bitterness that doesn't linger so as not to overpower the crispness, so we hope you'll take note of it."The product will be available in two varieties: kegs and bottles. Both kegs and bottles will be available nationwide from Thursday, April 11th. An opening event will be held at Como es Imaizumi on Saturday, April 6th.
We will continue to introduce new items such as limited edition brews, and aim to provide products that will please many people in a variety of everyday situations.
