限定醸造「Far Yeast Abbey Baby!」を発売

Release of limited edition brew "Far Yeast Abbey Baby!"

Starting January 21, 2018, we will be releasing a limited edition craft beer called "Far Yeast Abbey Baby!" in collaboration with Brewpub Têtard Vallée (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture).

Far Yeast Abbey Baby! is a Belgian abbey ale based on Brewpub Têtard Vallée's abbey-style beer, "Goraikoyoku Beer," with a unique twist that only this collaboration can offer.

After primary fermentation with Trappist yeast, secondary fermentation with wine yeast is added, resulting in a richer, more mellow aroma. Furthermore, dry hopping with a new hop variety, "HBC431," and for the first time at Far Yeast Brewing Co., Ltd., "Hallertau Bran" hops are used. The fermentation temperature is also different from the standard product, achieving a flavor that is characteristic of this collaboration, which "could not be achieved by either brewing alone."

The "Têtard" in Têtard Vallée refers to a tadpole (a baby frog), and the new collaboration beer was "born" based on Brewpub Têtard Vallée's Abbey-style beer "Goraikoyoku Bey," so it was named "Abbey Baby!"

This product will be available in both kegs and bottles. It will be first sold in the Kansai area at the Brewpub Têtard Vallée × Far Yeast Brewing Collaboration Beer Release Event on Sunday, January 21st. Both kegs and bottles will then be available nationwide from Wednesday, January 24th.

[About Brewpub Têtard Vallée]

Located in Tanimachi, Chuo Ward, Osaka City, this brewpub houses a small-scale craft beer factory and a beer dining area that mainly serves chunk meats and bistro dishes. They started brewing their own beer in 2016, and in 2017 won a gold medal at the Asia Beer Cup and a silver medal at the International Beer Cup.
