Far Yeast Brewing Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shiro Yamada) announced today that it has received a license to produce beer and happoshu at its Genryu Brewery, and will begin producing beer and happoshu at the brewery in the near future.
The Genryu Brewery will use water from the headwaters of the Tama River, one of Tokyo's water sources, to produce the Far Yeast series' standard products, Tokyo Blonde and Tokyo White, as well as a new Belgian IPA-style beer, Tokyo IPA, and limited edition products.
The beer to be produced will be based on the traditional Belgian style of secondary fermentation in the bottle, with our own unique twist, and we plan to deliver highly original beer to the world. When opening the brewery, we used the brewing process of our flagship brand, "KAGUA," which is produced in Belgium as a reference when designing the equipment and developing the recipes.
Additionally, a mural by artist/skateboarder DISKAH will be painted on the wall of the Genryu Brewery.
Inspired by the brewing tanks in the brewery, the ingredients used in beer brewing, and Kosuge Village, the impactful lettering and artwork will incorporate urban elements typical of Far Yeast Brewing, which broadcasts its beer to the world from Tokyo, Japan, as well as elegant Japanese elements. Look forward to the unique atmosphere that DISKAH will express.
