From the first half of 2016Message from the CEO
Far Yeast Brewing Co., Ltd. was founded in 2011 and is a small organization with just a few employees. Although we are a "micro-enterprise," we work every day with a vision (much larger than our own means) of "spreading Japanese beer to the world."
"KAGUA," which began sales in 2012, is currently sold in 10 countries around the world. The "Far Yeast" series, which was released in 2014, is also selling well. Currently, 100% of production is outsourced. Before founding the company, the original plan was to build a beer brewery, but due to a lack of investment capital, they started with contract brewing. As sales have gradually increased, they plan to operate their own brewery in 2016, which has been a long-held dream of theirs.
The workplace, Kosuge Village in Yamanashi Prefecture, is about a two-hour drive from Tokyo. It is a beautiful village surrounded by water and mountains, famous as the source of the Tama River. The view from the brewery windows is far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it the perfect place to brew delicious beer in a peaceful atmosphere. We plan to renovate a vacant factory property in the area and open it as a craft beer brewery within 2016.
The beer we brew will be based on the Belgian style. As "Kagua" is brewed in Belgium, we will incorporate advice from Belgian brewers into the design of our facilities. We would like to continue to produce beers that are based on the Belgian style but have a unique Japanese flavor, like Belgo-American or Italian craft beer.
Kosuge Village is a very nice place, but it is a rural village and there are no bars nearby, so it may be a bit boring for the brewery staff. We will improve the work environment and arrange regular business trips to Tokyo and other cities so that everyone can work here for as long as possible.
Of course, as the CEO, I will also move to Kosuge Village and spend every day at the brewery. I have a strong desire to brew beer myself. Let's all work together to make this beer, including the head brewer candidate, the brewing staff, and myself.
No experience is necessary, we are looking for people who love beer. If you think you are the right fit, we look forward to hearing from you!
