This ethical product was created by Off Trail Azeotrope, a malt-based distilled spirits brand created by Far Yeast Distilling Project, by upcycling rosé beer and recreating it as a distilled spirit.
We collect imported beer from our partner liquor stores that is approaching its expiration date due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and carefully distill it twice in a pot still in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture. This Beer Distilled Gin is primarily made with Wakayama Prefecture-grown grape sansho pepper, and is enhanced with a variety of botanicals, including juniper berries, coriander, sansho pepper, yuzu, and elderflower.
It has a punchy flavor while retaining the malt flavor of the base beer.
You can enjoy it however you like, straight, on the rocks, or with soda, but drinking it on the rocks or twice up gives it a richer botanical character.
This craft gin is recommended for the hot summer season.
