Genryu Brewery's 1000th batch! A traditional Belgian-style quadruple that returns to Far Yeast Brewing's roots
<Brewers Notes> This time, we took on the Belgian style, which is our roots, head-on. The style is a Belgian-style quadruple, with high alcohol and a rich flavor, befitting the 1000th batch commemoration. This beer was made using 2.5 times the usual amount of malt and boiled for 7 hours instead of the usual 1.5 hours. While retaining the estery characteristics of Belgian yeast, the result is a high-alcohol, dry beer. Sipping it over time allows you to enjoy the changes in flavor as the temperature changes. The in-bottle secondary fermentation process not only allows for a delicate mouthfeel, but also reduces dissolved oxygen (DO) in the container, making it resistant to deterioration and suitable for the long-term aging process unique to Belgian beers.
