It's made from 100% malt and distilled twice in Scottish copper pot stills. It's a blend of eight casks: four brewed and distilled from Great Western Malting Pale Malt and aged for 45-52 months in new charred American oak barrels; three brewed and distilled from single-variety barley and aged for 56 months in new charred American oak barrels; and the final one, crafted from "Queen's Run," aged for 60 months in new charred American oak barrels.
The wine opens with aromas of lemon peel and black cherry, followed by suede, dried pine needles, and grilled pineapple. The first sip is reminiscent of sweet black tea, followed by flavors of ripe kiwi and citrus peel, and a lingering finish reminiscent of aged pipe tobacco. The finish is dominated by notes of white pepper, Demerara sugar, and fresh raspberry. It's a well-balanced drink.

Co-founders and distillers Jason Parker and Micah Nutt, both craft beer makers, established Copperworks Distilling Company to explore the potential of malted barley by distilling high-quality craft beer into spirits, leveraging their experience in craft breweries.
Just five years after its founding, the company was named 2018 Distillery of the Year in the annual review run by the American Distilling Institute, America's largest trade association specializing in craft spirits.
