A few years ago, a gin made with Italian prune plums grown by Copperworks founder Micah Nutt's brother and his wife gained popularity and was released as part of Copperworks' "Experimental Gin Series." It has since become a popular product and has been sold as a standard line. This gin is made by infusing Italian prune plums sourced from two local farms into Small Batch Gin and Cask Finished Gin.
In the glass, aromas of mulled wine, candied fruit, and baking spices unfold. The palate is equally bold, offering aromas of stewed fruit, red wine, and big, fresh plum juice, followed by tannins and dark cherry notes.
