Every brewer dreams of making a Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. Taking over Off Trail, we couldn't resist making one. This imperial stout was born from the passion of Aoki, the new Off Trail project leader.
After about four months of trial and error, we discovered a method to achieve an ultra-high gravity beer using an ultra-long boil. After two mashing boils, the longest brewing period at our brewery, lasting a crazy eight hours, we were able to create a base beer with a satisfying body.
It is then aged in bourbon-style barrels for approximately eight months, giving the base beer even more depth and richness over time.
Contrary to the sweet and gentle impression of the aroma, it is quite bitter.

Blender's Note: The product name is "BETRAYAL." Disappointment, rage, hatred, resentment. This jet-black liquid engulfs and dissolves all the negative emotions of the person who swallows it, burning them out in the pit of their stomach and eventually sinking into a gentle slumber. It has the jet black color befitting an Imperial Stout and a beautiful, long finish. It has flavors of chocolate, caramel, vanilla, coffee, and whiskey. On the one hand, it is gently sweet, but on the other hand, it is deeply bitter. The mellow mouthfeel is very pleasant, but the alcohol is quite heavy.
