"Off Trail Kriek in the Barrel" won the gold medal for the second consecutive year at the Asia Beer Championship 2022. A total of five products won awards.
The results of the Asia Beer Championship 2022 were announced on Friday, October 28, 2022, with Far Yeast Brewing's Off Trail Kriek in the Barrel 2022 winning the Gold Award in the Wild Ale category.
"Off Trail Kriek in the Barrel" has won the gold award in this category for the second consecutive year, following last year's win.
Additionally, four products in four categories were awarded the Chairman's Selection.
About the Asia Beer Championship
The Asia Beer Championship is an international beer competition in which breweries from all over Asia, from Jordan to Japan, participate. There are 32 categories, with Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals awarded in each category. High-quality beers that meet the required standards are also selected for the Chairman's Selection.
This year, the tasting took place in Singapore on October 6th and 7th, and the results were announced and the awards ceremony was held in Bangkok, Thailand on October 28th.

WILD ALE Category: Gold Award “Off Trail Kreik in the Barrel 2022”
"Kriek in the Barrel," a collaboration with Culmination Brewing, a brewery in Portland, Oregon, was first released in 2019 and won a bronze medal at the Asia Beer Championship 2019 that same year. The second version, released in February 2021, won a silver medal at the European Beer Star 2021. It also won a gold medal at the Asia Beer Championship 2021, making this its second consecutive gold medal win. Continuing to win medals at international competitions, this product is gaining global acclaim.

The longest-aged beer is a barrel-aged beer that was aged for approximately two and a half years. Dry-hopping with Australian acid hops "Vie Secret" and "Galaxy," which have tropical and citrus character, creates a fruity flavor reminiscent of pineapple and passion fruit, almost like drinking fruit juice, using only the power of the base beer and hops.

This fresh hop beer is made with fresh hops harvested that morning at Kobayashi Hop Farm in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, and then poured into the brewing kettle on the same day. To allow you to simply enjoy the aroma and flavor of fresh hops, it is crafted in a fragrant, refreshing, and easy-to-drink Kölsch style.
It also won the Chairman's Selection in the same category at the Asia Beer Championship 2021, marking the second consecutive year it has won the award.
