Far Yeast Brewing will be selling a limited-edition winter flavor, "Far Yeast Yuzu Lemon White," which is made by infusing yuzu and lemon into their standard product, "Far Yeast White," starting Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
■First limited edition "White" flavor in about five years This is the first time in about five years that we have released a limited edition flavor of our standard product, "Far Yeast White." This "Yuzu Lemon White" was inspired by the traditional Japanese custom of taking a yuzu bath on the day of the winter solstice, a seasonal winter feature. The yuzu used is from Fujikawa Town, Yamanashi Prefecture, and is combined with lemon, which is also in season in winter. After repeated in-house trial production, we found that the acidity of the lemon and the citrus aroma of the yuzu complemented the pleasant acidity and spicy, fruity aroma of "Far Yeast White," and thus "Yuzu Lemon White" was born.
■A Saison perfect for winter, with the harmonious aromas of yuzu and lemon. Only the peel parts of the yuzu and lemon are used, suppressing the extraction of acidity and bitterness while allowing only the refreshing aroma to blend into the beer. While retaining the dry, sharp taste and spicy, fruity aroma that are characteristic of "Far Yeast White," this saison harmonizes with the clear, refreshing acidity of lemon and the warm, Japanese aroma of yuzu, making it the perfect drink for the winter season.
"Far Yeast Yuzu Lemon White" will be available for purchase in limited quantities on the Far Yeast Brewing official web store from 12:00 on Tuesday, December 3rd. Purchases made at beer bars, restaurants, and liquor stores nationwide, as well as on the web store, will begin shipping sequentially from Thursday, December 5th.
