A modern and refreshing saison made with plenty of herbs, "Far Yeast Escapism," will be available for a limited time from Tuesday, July 2nd.
Far Yeast Brewing will begin selling limited quantities of "Far Yeast Escapism," a traditional Belgian beer adapted for the Japanese summer, on its official online store from Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
Saison, a beer style originally enjoyed in Belgium during summer breaks from farm work, is an easy-to-drink, drinkable beer that is also used in our standard product, "Far Yeast White." Our latest release, "Escapism," takes this traditional style and adapts it to the Japanese summer with herbs. Fresh dill, fennel, thyme, and chervil are steeped in the hops, creating a refreshing taste that is less astringent and bitter. The alcohol content is set at a slightly lower 4.5% for a throat-quenching brew. However, to prevent it from becoming watery, we use plenty of wheat, giving it a pleasant mouthfeel.
The Belgian Saison yeast used in this brew, "LalBrew Belle Saison™" from Lallemand, is dry and has an excellent balance of phenols and esters. By emphasizing the fruity aroma and keeping the phenols to a minimum, we aimed for a more drinkable flavor.
Its cool style adds a refreshing touch, making it a drink that offers a moment of escapism to modern people battling Japan's long, humid summers.

Far Yeast Escapism will be available for purchase in limited quantities on the Far Yeast Brewing official web store from 12:00 on Tuesday, July 2nd. Purchases on the official web store and shipments to beer bars, restaurants, and liquor stores nationwide will begin sequentially from Wednesday, July 3rd.
