■Opening of the first directly managed store in Yamanashi Prefecture, where the company's headquarters are located
Far Yeast Brewing is pleased to announce the opening of its first directly operated bottle shop in Yamanashi Prefecture, where its headquarters and brewery are located.
In October 2020, we relocated our headquarters from Shibuya, Tokyo to Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture. While continuing to promote global expansion, a focus we've had since our founding, we're now emphasizing a business policy that emphasizes "local = community-based." Through our ongoing efforts to coexist and co-create with the local community, including the "Yamanashi Support Project," which brews beer using Yamanashi produce, our ongoing plans for a new factory, and sustainable tourism in Kosuge Village, our production base, and the surrounding area, we're becoming a brewery truly rooted in Yamanashi. However, until now, we lacked a base where customers could enjoy our beer locally. With growing interest in the appeal of carefully crafted, small-batch craft beer following the COVID-19 pandemic, we aimed to create a venue where we could directly promote our diverse products and craft beer culture to local residents.
Miharitei, our joint venture with the bottle shop , is a community and co-working space that opened in 2022 in a former inn. Located about an hour from Tokyo and a one-minute walk from Uenohara Station on the JR Chuo Main Line, the gateway to Yamanashi, the space is loved by many people both inside and outside the city as a new hub for local interaction, used for business purposes, as a cafe where locals gather, and for planning local events. By bringing together our respective values in this space, we will work together to contribute to the local community and promote initiatives aimed at coexistence with the local community.
A community space where you can enjoy craft beer and delicious local food
Far Yeast Bottle Shop Miharetei will always have a lineup of our core brands, "KAGUA," "Far Yeast," and "Off Trail," as well as the latest limited-edition products. In addition to the coffee and bagel takeout cafe that previously operated irregularly at Miharetei, the store will also house Maruhachi Retro, a takoyaki restaurant in the local Uenohara area, which will relocate to coincide with the opening of the bottle shop. Maruhachi Retro will offer Far Yeast Brewing draft beer and takoyaki for takeout. On sunny days, visitors can enjoy drinks and food on the veranda or lawn. We aim to create a comfortable space where visitors can spend time as they wish and expand their circle of friends and family.
