The second installment of the "Trigger" series, "Far Yeast Trigger Chapter.2 ," which challenges the classic West Coast IPA, will be available for limited sale from Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
■ The "Trigger" series challenges the classic style
West Coast IPA, which originated on the West Coast of the United States, is a driving force behind the craft beer boom that has swept the world with its vivid hop bitterness and aroma. It remains popular in Japan and is produced by many breweries, but Far Yeast Brewing, which has specialized in Belgian-style beers since its founding, has rarely brewed it. Far Yeast Brewing's brewers took on this classic style head-on with "Far Yeast Trigger ," released in May of this year. The beer was named with the hope that it would be the "trigger" that would introduce many people to the appeal of craft beer.
■ Citrus and floral flavors have been added to make it even more drinkable
The second batch, which is already on the way, is designed to be even more drinkable, based on the response to the first batch and the issues the brewers discovered. The fermentation process and hops used have been revised to achieve a cleaner, more balanced aroma and flavor.
The Oceanian hops, Wakatu and Galaxy, are added on both the hot and cold sides to add a citrus-floral flavor. The result is a complex, intense aroma, clean flavor, and a punchy, intense bitterness that will hit the drinker right in the heart.

Far Yeast Brewing's classic West Coast IPA, "Far Yeast TRIGGER Chapter.2 ," will be available in limited quantities on the Far Yeast Brewing official web store from 12:00 on Tuesday, July 11th. Purchases made on the official web store will be shipped sequentially from Wednesday, July 12th to beer bars, restaurants, and liquor stores nationwide.
