The third product in the Off Trail -Azeotrope Malt Gin Distiller's Choice line of authentic barrel-aged malt gin (hereinafter referred to as Distiller's Choice), Off Trail -Azeotrope Malt Gin Distiller's Choice "gamma" ( hereinafter referred to as "ganmma"), will go on sale on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
"Distiller's Choice" is a series of authentic barrel-aged malt gins launched in March 2023 by "Off Trail -Azeotrope," a brand that challenges itself to create innovative distilled spirits. This is the brand's signature line, which uses beer as an ingredient and is aged in wooden barrels.
The third in the series, "gamma," is a blend of two types of gin aged for 32 months in whiskey barrels, based on the theme of the coexistence of barrel-derived aromas and botanicals. One has wild, fresh botanicals and the aroma of the barrel, while the other has a sweeter vanilla and honey flavor due to aging. The blend ratio was determined with the overall balance in mind, resulting in a drink that is easy to drink while retaining the botanical impression. The botanicals include juniper berries, as well as yuzu and sansho pepper, which add a refreshing and spicy flavor.
We recommend drinking it straight for a warming taste, or with soda to bring out the botanical flavor even more.

"Off Trail - Azeotrope" was launched in October 2021 as a crossover brand between beer and distilled spirits, leveraging the fermentation and barrel aging know-how cultivated through beer brewing to create innovative spirits and liqueurs. "Distiller's Choice" was launched in March 2023 as the brand's signature series of barrel-aged malt gin.
Like the brand "Off Trail," which makes use of microorganisms in its beer brewing, this is a one-of-a-kind product in which the distiller himself tastes each of the distilled spirits that have been aged in multiple barrels, deciding the blend ratio before turning them into a finished product.
