It is a popular style that is brewed by many breweries in Japan, but Far Yeast Brewing, which has specialized in Belgian-style beers since its founding, has rarely brewed it, not only as a regular beer but also as a limited edition product.
This time, the brewers at Far Yeast Brewing took on this classic style head-on. The West Coast IPA was a drink that once struck the brewer's heart and was what first drew him to the world of craft beer. This limited edition beer was created with the hope that it would be a "trigger" for many people to discover the charm of craft beer.
■Using the largest amount of hops ever, this beer delivers an overwhelming aroma and clean bitterness.
Aiming for an overwhelming citrus aroma and clean bitterness, we focused on the ingredients and recipe. Fresh hops, just delivered from the United States, were carefully selected. We dry-hopped four varieties—Centennial, Columbus, Amarillo, Citra, and Simcoe—at 45kg, the largest amount ever, 2.5 times the amount used in Far Yeast Brewing's standard "Far Yeast Tokyo IPA." While most of our products use a secondary fermentation in a container, this one is cold-crushed after fermentation, storing it at a low temperature to precipitate impurities, resulting in a clear appearance and flavor.
Furthermore, to ensure that the beer is delivered in the best possible condition, it will be shipped in fully refrigerated logistics. The label design is also fresh and impactful, setting it apart from existing products. Every detail has been carefully considered.
Far Yeast Brewing's classic West Coast IPA , "Far Yeast TRIGGER," will be available in limited quantities on the Far Yeast Brewing official web store from 12:00 on Tuesday, May 16th . Purchases made on the web store will be shipped sequentially from Wednesday, May 17th to beer bars, restaurants, and liquor stores nationwide .
