Made with plenty of peaches from Yamanashi Prefecture, the refreshingly juicy "Far Yeast Momo Common" is full of peach aroma and will begin shipping on Wednesday, March 22nd.

Far Yeast Brewing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture; CEO: Shiro Yamada), a craft beer maker that distributes original Japanese beers around the world, will begin shipping " Far Yeast Momo Common, " made with peaches from Peach Senka Yamashita, a peach farmer in Yamanashi City, Yamanashi Prefecture , from Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

Peach beer is popular among craft beer fans. Far Yeast Brewing, based in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan's top peach-producing region, releases "Far Yeast Peach Haze" every year as a summer seasonal staple, using peaches from Yamanashi City's peach farm, Peach Senka Yamashita. This popular product sells out immediately every time, but this time they're trying out a new style that further pursues the "peach-ness" of the beer. They'll be selling a limited edition "Far Yeast Momo Common," which expresses the aroma and sweetness of peaches in a simpler way.

"Far Yeast Momo Common" uses a generous 500kg of peach puree from "Peach Senka Yamashita." Made in the California Common style, it has a refreshing taste that contrasts with "Peach Haze."
California Common, which originated in the American West, is a beer made by fermenting lager yeast, which normally ferments at low temperatures, at a high temperature similar to that of ale yeast. This style combines the crispness of a lager beer with the rich aroma and flavor of an ale.

Unlike "Peach Haze," this beer is not dry-hopped, and has a balanced aroma of fruity and malty notes typical of California Common, with a subtle sweet peach scent. The simple, drinkable flavor features a base of bitterness and crispness, with a clean peach note , making it perfect for the warmer spring weather.

Spring in Yamanashi is the season when the peach orchards that cover the Kofu Basin reach full bloom, painting the surrounding area in a deep pink. This product has been specially brewed to coincide with this season of excitement and joy. The cute and pop label design was created by Naoko Kamiyama, an illustrator based in Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture.

" Far Yeast Momo Common " will be available for purchase on our online store from 12:00 on Tuesday, March 21st, and will begin shipping from Wednesday, March 22nd.
Additionally, Peach Senka Yamashita will be holding a Spring Cherry Blossom Viewing Festival at the attached cafe, La Pesca, on Saturday, April 8th. There will also be a tasting and sales event for Far Yeast Momo Common at the venue.
