Far Yeast Brewing, a brand that challenges itself with innovative beer brewing , will release "Off Trail 'Cot in a Funk'," a barrel-aged sour ale made with apricots, to the general public on Thursday, February 10, 2022, with pre-sales starting at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 8 on its official online store.

"Off Trail" was launched in November 2019 as the third brand following "KAGUA" and "Far Yeast." Utilizing microorganisms other than beer yeast, the brand produces unique beers with rich and complex flavors through barrel aging, which involves aging the beer in wooden barrels.

Off Trail's latest release, "Off Trail 'Cot in a Funk'," is a fruity sour ale made with apricots and aged in wooden barrels.

A 6-month-aged sour blonde ale is blended with a 26-month-aged wheat strong ale to add just the right amount of body. A generous amount of apricot puree from Oregon Fruit Products, based in Oregon, is then added, and the brew is slowly fermented with the help of wild yeasts from the wooden barrels until it develops a dry flavor.

These days don't always go as planned. This uplifting drink will blow away those frustrating feelings, with its bright, fruity apricot flavor, funky taste from the wooden barrels, and earthy aroma reminiscent of the earth and forests.

"Off Trail 'Cot in a Funk'" will be released nationwide on Thursday, February 10th, and pre-orders will begin on our online store from 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 8th.
