好評につき今年も登場!小林ホップ農園プロデュース 山梨県産ホップ100%『北杜の華ホップス』の醸造をFar Yeast Brewingが担当

Back again this year due to popular demand! Produced by Kobayashi Hop Farm, "Hokuto no Hana Hops" is made with 100% Yamanashi hops and brewed by Far Yeast Brewing.

Following on from last year, Far Yeast Brewing is in charge of brewing "Hokuto no Hana Hops," a beer produced by Kobayashi Hop Farm in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. It will be on sale at Kobayashi Hop Farm on Tuesday, December 21st.

Hokuto City in Yamanashi Prefecture is well suited to hop cultivation thanks to its cool climate and the amount of sunlight it receives, which is the highest in Japan, and it was the first town in Japan to fully start contract hop cultivation. However, the number of farmers growing hops is currently on the decline. Kobayashi, a hop farmer in Hokuto City, is promoting the appeal of hops and aiming to revive and revitalize hops grown in Hokuto City. He currently supplies hops to many craft beer breweries across Japan, and this summer Far Yeast Brewing also brewed with fresh hops from Kobayashi Hop Farm as part of the Yamanashi Support Project, "Far Yeast Farm to Brew."

"Hokuto no Hana Hops" is a beer produced and sold by Kobayashi, with the hope of sharing the charm of hops with as many people as possible. It is made using only hops grown at the Kobayashi Hop Farm and brewed by Far Yeast Brewing. It was released in limited quantities last year and was very well received. Therefore, following on from last year, it will be brewed and released again this year by Far Yeast Brewing.

While multiple hops are typically used in beer, Hokuto no Hana Hops is brewed with only one type of cascade hop, allowing you to enjoy the natural aroma and characteristics of freshly picked hops. Hops are added at multiple times during the boil, extracting and layering the various flavors of cascade hops to create a deep flavor that you can enjoy.

"Hokuto no Hana Hops" will be available for purchase from the Kobayashi Hop Farm website from Tuesday, December 21st.

[About Kobayashi Hop Farm]

Kobayashi Hop Farm is a hop farm located in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, at the southern foot of Mt. Yatsugatake, a pioneering area for hop cultivation. Test cultivation began in Hokuto City in 2014, and full-scale hop cultivation and beer sales began in 2016. The farm is committed to the preservation and development of hop cultivation.
Most domestic hops are grown by contract farmers of major beer manufacturers, but Kobayashi Hop Farm does not have exclusive contracts and sells its hops freely, thereby spreading the appeal of hops to a wider audience.
