"Far Yeast Tokyo White," "KAGUA Rouge," and "KAGUA Blanc" now available in Finland
Far Yeast Brewing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture / CEO: Shiro Yamada) will begin selling its own brand beers, "Far Yeast Tokyo White," "KAGUA Rouge," and "KAGUA Blanc," in Finland from July 8, 2021.
Finland and other Nordic countries are home to many unique craft beer brands, and coupled with the rich Nordic culture and design, many people enjoy the unique taste and culture of craft beer. Finland has a population of approximately 5.5 million, but as of 2019 there were approximately 100 microbreweries, which is about four times the number of microbreweries per capita in Japan.
In order to sell alcoholic beverages in Finland, in many cases the company must clear the strict bidding criteria of Alko, the public sales corporation. For this reason, Far Yeast Brewing held numerous preliminary discussions with its local partner, Vinic Oy, and after going through processes such as sample inspection, product registration, and bidding, has officially begun sales in Finland from July 8, 2021. From July 8, Far Yeast Brewing will be available at the Alko online shop and Alko Stores.

Vinic, a Finnish distributor of high-quality wine, spirits, and craft beer, has announced an exclusive distribution agreement with Far Yeast Brewing for the Finnish market. While Finland is home to many microbreweries and a rich craft beer culture, Japanese craft beer has yet to be widely adopted. Japan's well-known representative beers are light lager-style beers. Far Yeast Brewing's beers, carefully crafted and enhanced with a Japanese design and flavor, are particularly appealing compared to many other craft beers available in Finland. [About the "KAGUA" brand]
This "Japanese-scented ale" is based on the concept of "a fragrance that complements the Japanese dining table." In pursuit of a "Japanese" fragrance, it uses Japanese herbs, yuzu and sansho pepper, purchased directly from designated production areas within Japan. It pairs exceptionally well with traditional Japanese cuisine, including sushi, tempura, eel, sukiyaki, and yakitori.
