The 10th release of "Off Trail" is a wheat strong ale blended with sweet tea and beer aged for 17 months in oak and acacia barrels! "Perfect TEN" will be available from Tuesday, March 30th.

Far Yeast Brewing Co., Ltd. will release "Perfect TEN," a barrel-aged wheat strong ale blended with sweet tea, as the 10th release from its innovative beer brand, "Off Trail," on Tuesday, March 30th. Pre-orders will begin on the official online store from 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 23rd.

Launched in November 2019 as a follow-up to the two brands "KAGUA" and "Far Yeast," "Off Trail" is a brand that explores new possibilities in craft beer. Its name comes from the image of forging ahead on unpaved roads, setting it apart from the "well-paved roads." The beer is brewed using the barrel-aging method, in which beer is aged in barrels previously used for wine, sake, and whiskey, in order to develop rich and complex aromas by utilizing microorganisms other than brewer's yeast. The brand explores unique flavors by blending seasonal fruits such as grapes and peaches, as well as regional specialties, to match the characteristics of the base beer.

The 10th release, "Perfect TEN," was aged for 17 months in oak and acacia barrels before being blended with sweet tea. Through this blend, the fruity, woody, funky, and malty flavors of the base beer are enhanced with deep earthy aromas, licorice spice, a hint of pipe tobacco, and the sweet flavor of sweet tea.

The "TEN" in "Perfect TEN" comes from the pronunciation of "tencha" (sweet tea) used in the blend and the fact that this is the 10th installment in the Off Trail series.
Last year, most beer competitions were canceled due to the impact of the coronavirus, leaving Offtrail's creations with no opportunity to be evaluated. We decided to just rate them ourselves, hence the name "Perfect TEN (10)" (out of 10!).
