Far Yeast Brewing expands and moves to Gotanda. "Far Yeast Tokyo Brewery & Grill" Grand Opening on Wednesday, October 14th

Far Yeast Brewing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / Starting in October in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture; CEO: Shiro Yamada), a craft beer maker that distributes original Japanese beers to the world, will be relocating its Tokyo flagship store, which was previously located in Shibuya 2-chome, and will be grand opening its new flagship store, Far Yeast Tokyo Brewery & Grill, which will also house a brewery, in Gotanda on Wednesday, October 14th.

The new store will have five times the seating capacity of the company's Shibuya store, Far Yeast Tokyo Craft Beer & Bao (which will close on Sunday, August 23rd due to relocation), and will also have an even more extensive food and drink menu, making it a craft beer and grill dining restaurant suitable for a wide range of occasions.

Far Yeast Tokyo Craft Beer & Bao, our first directly managed store, opened in Shibuya in July 2017 and has been a popular spot where you can enjoy our craft beer on tap at any time. However, as our previous store, measuring approximately 33 sq. m, was becoming too small, we have decided to move to a new, larger store.
Far Yeast Tokyo Brewery & Grill, opening in Gotanda, will have 105 seats, five times the capacity of its predecessor. The spacious glass-walled space will also feature an open terrace with 30 seats.

The bar will have 20 taps offering a selection of carefully selected craft beers on tap, including our flagship brands "KAGUA" and the "Far Yeast" series, as well as guest beers from Japan and abroad.
The menu focuses on grilled dishes such as "Daisen Chicken Herb Grill" and "Grilled Domestic Beef," as well as a wide variety of other dishes to enjoy with beer, including Neapolitan pizza and charcuterie. Guests can also enjoy the rare "Ozaki Beef," a legendary Wagyu beef that is constantly in demand both domestically and internationally.

The store also has an attached brewery, which is scheduled to be operational as soon as preparations are complete (expected to be around January 2021). Once the brewery is operational, we will be serving limited edition beers brewed in-store. We also plan to use it as our Tokyo brewery, brewing small-scale, experimental beers whose production volumes are too small to brew at our own factory, Far Yeast Genryu Brewery in Yamanashi, as well as meeting the needs of restaurants and other businesses to brew original beers.

Like its other directly operated stores in Atami and Fukuoka, Far Yeast Tokyo Brewery & Grill has taken sufficient COVID-19 prevention measures in accordance with local and national guidelines and began pre-opening operations on Friday, September 18th.
Genryu Brewery in Yamanashi is currently brewing a limited edition beer to celebrate the opening of Far Yeast Tokyo Brewery & Grill, which will be available at the directly managed store from the grand opening on Wednesday, October 14th. Made using Talus, a new hop variety developed just this year, this drinkable beer offers a gorgeous hop aroma, making it the perfect opening glass for a toast.
