"Monday, April 27th: A look into the reality of restaurants struggling with the coronavirus crisis"
The impact of the new coronavirus has put restaurants all over Japan in a difficult situation. Following requests from the government and local governments to refrain from going out, the number of customers visiting restaurants has plummeted, and according to food producer Zhou Rongxing, the number of customers visiting restaurants will be around 40-50% by summer, and if the situation continues until the end of the year, it is predicted that more than 70-80% of restaurants will find it difficult to continue operating.
Why are so many restaurants struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic? We will consider what we can do now while understanding the current situation and analyzing the problems from the perspective of restaurant management structure.
