Launch of limited edition barrel-aged beer "Fresh Hop Wild Saison" made with fresh hops

At Fresh Hop Fest 2019 (FHF), we will be releasing a limited edition cask of Fresh Hop Wild Saison . This saison is made from last year's Fresh Hop Saison, aged for a year in white wine barrels, and dry-hopped with fresh Cascade hops.

FHF is a festival run by the Japan Hop Promotion Committee, where people enjoy beer made with fresh domestic hops harvested that year. Our company will be participating for the second time, following last year, with the desire to spread the enjoyment of beer.

This time, we will be using fresh hops from Yoshitoshi Kobayashi, a hop farmer in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. The variety used is Cascade, which has a citrus scent like grapefruit and a floral scent like flowers.

Fresh Hop Wild Saison is a fresh hop saison brewed last year, aged for a year in white wine barrels, and dry-hopped with fresh hops. Enjoy the tropical and citrus aromas, funky notes from wild yeast, and the green freshness of fresh hops, plus a dry finish.

This product will only be available in kegs and is scheduled to go on sale nationwide from late September. It will also be available at the GINZA de FRESH HOP FEST, held at BEER TO GO by SPRING VALLEY BREWERY in Ginza from Saturday, October 12th to Sunday, October 13th. We will continue to introduce new items, including limited edition brews, with the aim of providing products that will please many people in a variety of everyday situations.
