Limited edition brew "Far Yeast Peach Nightcrawler" released

The limited edition North East IPA (NEIPA) "Far Yeast Peach Nightcrawler" will be released on Thursday, March 8, 2018. "Far Yeast Peach Nightcrawler" is the second product in the series, developed in collaboration with craft beer magazine TRANSPORTER and released in January 2018, and featuring peaches from Yamanashi Prefecture.

"Far Yeast Peach Nightcrawler" is a fruity North East IPA inspired by the sleepless city of Tokyo, which sparkles even at night. It combines a hazy, tropical flavor with the fruity taste of peach. It uses peach puree from "Peach Senka Yamashita" (head office: Yamanashi City, Yamanashi Prefecture; CEO: Yamashita Kazuhiro), the peach farmer who runs the popular Yamanashi City cafe "Peach Farm Cafe La Pesca." Peach Senka Yamashita's peaches are grown using "special farming methods" that harness the power of nature to maximize the fruit's natural flavor.

This product uses a large amount of sweet peaches and uses the sugar from the peaches for natural carbonation*.
*Natural carbonation is a method of dissolving carbon dioxide gas generated during fermentation. While the common method of injecting carbon dioxide gas after fermentation to control the volume of carbon dioxide gas, Far Yeast Peach Nightcrawler generates and dissolves carbon dioxide gas by causing the peach sugars to undergo a secondary fermentation in the bottle and barrel.

We used Citra and Mosaic hops for flavoring, resulting in a bitter-sweet tropical IPA with the bitterness of the hops and the thick, sweet flavor of the peach puree.

"We've collaborated with juicy Nightcrawler North East IPA and peaches from Peach Senka Yamashita, the owner of La Pesca, a peach cafe in Yamanashi Prefecture that's extremely popular among young people. This is the first time Far Yeast Brewing has produced a fruit ale using a large amount of fruit. The peach juice undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle and barrel, followed by natural carbonation. The tropical fruit flavor of Mosaic hops is mixed with the sweetness of peach, and the juiciness and thickness add up to a bitter, sweet, and drinkable North East IPA.

The product will be available in two varieties: kegs and bottles. The kegs will be available in advance at 78 stores nationwide from Thursday, March 8th. Both bottles and kegs will then be available nationwide from Friday, March 9th.

*North East IPA is a new IPA style that originated in the New England region of the United States (six northeastern states, including Massachusetts, with Boston as its capital city). In contrast to the traditionally popular West Coast IPA, this style is gaining attention as it was born on the East Coast.
It has a cloudy appearance, gold to orange in color, and is characterized by an intense hop aroma and flavor reminiscent of mango, orange, and pine.
It is commonly called a New England IPA, but is also sometimes called a Northeast IPA or Hazy IPA.

*The hop flavor of the North East IPA style loses its vigor quickly, so we recommend consuming it as soon as possible, even if it is within the expiration date.
