Release of limited edition "Far Yeast Barrel Aged Series"

Starting January 29, 2018, we will be releasing the Far Yeast Barrel Aged Series, which includes the Far Yeast Barrel Aged Strong Ale (WHITE-Wine) and the Far Yeast Barrel Aged Strong Ale (RED-Wine).

Barrel-aged beer is beer that has been aged in wooden barrels previously used for whiskey or wine. The aromas and flavors that permeate the wooden barrels are transferred to the beer, allowing you to enjoy a deep flavor and aroma that is different from fresh beer. This time, we aged the beer in two types of barrels: one for white wine and one for red wine.

"Far Yeast Barrel Aged Strong Ale (WHITE-WINE)" is characterized by the sweet aroma of grape pulp and the woody aroma of the barrel, which are unique to aging in white wine barrels. The solid body of the strong ale base is layered with the dry and spicy flavor of white wine, resulting in a clear, sweet aftertaste. Meanwhile, "Far Yeast Barrel Aged Strong Ale (RED-Wine)" is characterized by the sour, woody aroma and subtle vanilla scent, which are unique to aging in red wine barrels. The solid body of the strong ale base blends with the unique acidity of red wine, creating a rich, lingering finish.

The product will be available in two varieties: kegs and bottles. The kegs will be first opened at the JAPAN BREWERS CUP 2018 from Friday, January 26th to Sunday, January 28th, and both the kegs and bottles will be available for purchase from Monday, January 29th.

We will continue to introduce new items such as limited edition brews, and aim to provide products that will please many people in a variety of everyday situations.

To enjoy the aroma, serve in a wine glass or stemmed glass. Shaking the glass after pouring will release some of the carbonation and make the taste mellower. If you leave it at a temperature of 8 to 10 degrees Celsius after taking it out of the refrigerator, the aroma of the barrel will be more pronounced, allowing you to enjoy the rich flavor at your leisure.
