Off Trail Attack of the Blood Oranges: A perfect balance of fresh blood orange aroma and citrus and tropical notes.

Far Yeast Brewing will be releasing the 49th release from its innovative beer brand, Off Trail, titled Off Trail Attack of the Blood Oranges, in limited quantities from Tuesday, August 27th.
■A simple yet balanced flavor achieved by blending an 11-month-aged base beer with blood oranges. The base beer for "Attack of the Blood Oranges" is a Sour Blonde Ale aged for 11 months using Kviek yeast for the main fermentation. Blood orange puree, which seems to complement the grapefruit-like citrus and pineapple-like tropical notes unique to Kviek yeast, has been added. To further enhance the blood orange aroma, this time we deliberately omit a blend and finished the beer using only Kviek Sour Blonde Ale. The distinctive acidity of Kviek is matched with the freshness and subtle sweetness of blood oranges, resulting in a well-balanced, drinkable flavor.
Enjoy the unique character of barrel-aged beer and the unique blending
Off Trail is a brand that is challenging new possibilities for craft beer, and they use microorganisms other than beer yeast to create unique beers with rich and complex flavors using a barrel-aging method that involves aging the beer in wooden barrels. The finished product changes depending on the barrel and the environment in which it is aged, so no two beers are exactly alike, making for a unique, one-of-a-kind flavor.
Our brewery's barrel room always has around 80 barrel-aged beers stored, and we select and blend the best combination of barrels from these to create our final product.
Some barrels are too stimulating and unique on their own, but by balancing the beers with each other and sometimes combining them with fruits, herbs, spices, etc., they become more substantial and complex, coming together. This latest release, "Attack of the Blood Oranges," uses barrel-aged beer that has been aged for 11 months, and combines its distinctive acidity with the fresh aroma of blood oranges.
"Off Trail Attack of the Blood Oranges" will be available for purchase in limited quantities on the Far Yeast Brewing official web store from 12:00 on Tuesday, August 27th. Purchases on the official web store and shipments to beer bars, restaurants, and liquor stores nationwide will begin sequentially from Wednesday, August 28th.

[What is Off Trail?]
Launched in November 2019 as a follow-up to the two brands "KAGUA" and "Far Yeast," "Off Trail" is a brand that explores new possibilities in craft beer. Its name evokes the image of venturing off the paved road and forging ahead on unpaved paths. By using the barrel-aging method, which involves aging beer in barrels previously used for wine, sake, and whiskey, Off Trail strives to brew beer that utilizes microorganisms other than brewer's yeast. Barrel-aged base beers develop a strong character due to the environment inside the barrel, and natural chemical reactions create rich, complex aromas. By blending seasonal fruits like grapes and peaches and regional specialties to match the characteristics of the base beer, Off Trail strives to create unique flavors.
