Far Yeast Brewing will release the fourth installment of its "Trigger" series, "Far Yeast Trigger Chapter.4 ," which takes on the classic West Coast IPA, in limited quantities on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
■The "Trigger" series takes on the classic West Coast IPA
West Coast IPA, which originated on the west coast of the United States, is a driving force behind the craft beer boom that has swept the world with its vivid hop bitterness and aroma. It is also extremely popular in Japan, but Far Yeast Brewing, which has specialized in Belgian-style beers since its founding, has rarely had the opportunity to brew it.
The brewers at Far Yeast Brewing took on this classic style head-on with "Far Yeast Trigger ," released in May of last year . The beer was named with the hope that it would serve as a "trigger" for many people to discover the appeal of craft beer. With each brew, improvements and arrangements have been made, and three beers have been released as part of Far Yeast Brewing's West Coast IPA line.
■Back to the roots, a vibrant citrus aroma with "C" hops and the impact of bitterness and body
The previous release, "Trigger Chapter.3," was an arrangement product that challenged itself with new hops and brewing methods, using dip hopping * with three types of French hops that are still scarce in Japan . With this latest release, "Trigger Chapter.4," we have reaffirmed our original concept of a "classic West Coast IPA," and aimed for a powerful, full-bodied flavor in terms of alcohol content, malt, and hops.
The hops are made up of classic citrus "C" hops: Columbus, Centennial, Comet, Cascade, Cryo Citra, and Cryo Cascade. This is the first time we've used the "Clean Fusion (TM)" process developed by Sydney's One Drop Brewing. Before dry-hopping, the beer is centrifuged to remove unnecessary impurities such as yeast, allowing for a more vivid hop aroma to be extracted. The base malt is Maris Otter, a premium malt renowned in the beer industry, adding a richness to the beer.
The label has a simple and clean design that boldly features the characters established in the "Trigger" series. To ensure you can enjoy it in the best condition, this product will be delivered using fully refrigerated logistics.
"Far Yeast Trigger Chapter.4 " will be available for purchase in limited quantities on the Far Yeast Brewing official web store from 12:00 on Tuesday, May 14th. Purchases on the official web store and shipments to beer bars, restaurants, and liquor stores nationwide will begin sequentially from Wednesday, May 15th.
