Following the positive reception of its "outdoor beer" released in June 2023, Far Yeast Brewing will be re-brewing "Far Yeast noon moon " again this year, with sales starting on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
■Far Yeast's "Outdoor Beer"
At Far Yeast Brewing, our brewery is located in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, a naturally rich area at the source of the Tama River. Many people visit Kosuge Village and the surrounding area to enjoy nature, such as camping and mountain climbing, and many of our staff members are also lovers of outdoor activities. We wanted to create a beer that could be enjoyed in any place we like, and that we wanted to share with visitors to Kosuge Village and all nature lovers alike, so in June 2023, we released "Far Yeast noonmoon," Far Yeast Brewing's "outdoor-only beer," in limited quantities at select campsites in Yamanashi Prefecture and the Kanto region .
Since then, it has been well received at local roadside stations, liquor stores, campsites within the prefecture, and outdoor-themed beer bars and cafes outside the prefecture, and will be re-brewed and sold in limited quantities again this year.
■ Herbal and woody aromas in harmony with nature and a light body
"noon moon" has a light body with an alcohol content of 4.5% that won't get in the way of various outdoor activities, such as chilling out at camp or mountain activities, and its aromatic flavor that harmonizes with the mountain air and scent makes beer time enjoyed in the middle of the day in the open air of nature even more comfortable.
By adjusting the timing of the addition of five types of hops - Commet, Centennial, Idaho7, Cryo Mosaic, and Citra - we have created an herbal and woody aroma that harmonizes with orange, flowers, and nature.

The concept is "Chill from noon." In the afternoon, when a pleasant breeze blows, you sway in a rocking chair or hammock and look up at the midday moon. This is the scene that came to mind when we named it "noon moon."
■ Gratitude and encouragement for the abundant nature and water of the Tama River source
For the re-brewing, we are once again collaborating with the "Thanks Hinohara Project," which conducts awareness-raising activities for environmental conservation in Hinohara Village, Tokyo, which, like our company, is located at the source of the Tama River system (Akigawa).
Hinohara Village, the only village on Tokyo's mainland and the source of Tokyo's deepest water, faced plans to build an industrial waste incinerator in April 2022. The "Thanks Hinohara Project" is working closely with the natural environment, the people in the watershed, and users to address the plans for an industrial waste facility in the watershed above the source, and is expanding its activities through a "kind movement" that expresses its intentions together with volunteers from both inside and outside the village.
In support of the initiative to protect the important rivers that are essential to beer brewing, and to encourage people to pay attention to the water that is the foundation of their lives, we will be promoting a portion of this product under the spin-off project's original label, "BACK TO RIVER."

[About Thanks Hinohara]
"It's a project that we support with kindness."
Hinohara Village has a population of approximately 2,000, 93% of which is forest, and 80% of which is designated as Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park. It is the innermost water source of Tokyo. In 2018, it was certified as a national "Ecotourism Promotion Comprehensive Plan Certified Area," and is visited by more than 200,000 tourists every year.
Thanks Hinohara is a project based on the theme of "kind exercise," in which volunteers from both inside and outside the village who share the desire to protect this precious environment and pass it on to the future participate.
