Far Yeast Brewing will be releasing a limited edition pumpkin-infused imperial pumpkin ale, "Off Trail Trick or Treat Yourself," on Friday, September 30, 2022, to coincide with the Halloween season.

In the American craft beer scene, autumn is the season for pumpkin beer. Many breweries sell a variety of pumpkin beers, and they are very popular. Pumpkin beer is still relatively unfamiliar in Japan, so this year, Off Trail, a brand that uses the power of microorganisms to brew beer, will be selling a limited edition pumpkin-based beer called "Trick or Treat Yourself."
We blended barrel-aged strong ale, imperial stout, and kettle sour red ale, and used plenty of pumpkin puree and powder to create an imperial pumpkin ale with the rich and complex aroma that only barrel-aged beer can offer.
Filled with a variety of aromas, including brown sugar, roasted pumpkin, caramel, cinnamon, and oak barrels, this beer is like a Halloween party happening in your glass. Its refreshing acidity comes from the sour ale base , and despite its high alcohol content of over 10%, it's dry and easy to drink, making it the perfect drink for any party. This beer offers unexpected surprises and a captivating taste that will tickle your senses, adding a touch of glamour to any autumn evening spent with friends or family.
The product name is a unique play on the classic Halloween phrase "Trick or Treat," which means "If you don't give me candy, I'll play a trick on you!", with the phrase "(In light of the current situation) you're free to play tricks on me."
"Off Trail Trick or Treat Yourself" will be available for general release from Friday, September 30th, and pre-orders will begin on our online store from 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 27th .

[What is Off Trail?]
Launched in November 2019 as a follow-up to the two brands "KAGUA" and "Far Yeast," "Off Trail" is a brand that explores new possibilities in craft beer. Its name comes from the image of forging ahead on unpaved roads, setting itself apart from well-paved roads. The beer is brewed using the barrel-aging method, whereby beer is aged in barrels previously used for wine, sake, and whiskey, in order to develop rich and complex aromas by utilizing microorganisms other than brewer's yeast. The brand explores unique flavors by blending seasonal fruits such as grapes and peaches, as well as regional specialties, to match the characteristics of the base beer.
