November 1st: The paperback edition of "People who make delicious sake - Sakaya Banryu" will be released

The paperback edition of "The People Who Make Delicious Sake - Sakaya Banryu" (published by Soshisha) , an essay about sake by author Masuda Akira, which was also introduced by Far Yeast Brewing, has been well received and will be published on Friday, November 1st.

This book is completely different from previous essay books on sake, and explores the essence of sake that has never been written about in any other media. It beautifully portrays the deep philosophy and strong beliefs of the sake brewers, their reverence for Japanese culture and their roots in tradition, while also unwaveringly investing in the latest technology to achieve deliciousness.

The book also features our CEO, Yamada, as a craft beer brewer. Yamada talks about his passion and passion for brewing beer, and the author, Masuda, shares his experiences spending time with Yamada in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, where the brewery is located.

Masafumi Masuda

Author. Born in Osaka in 1960. Graduated from the Faculty of Law at Doshisha University. His works explore a variety of motifs, centered around the underlying theme of humankind's "endless longing." His literary works include "The Artist's Soul: Keisai Eisen," which depicts the life of Keisai Eisen, an ukiyo-e artist from the Bunka-Bunsei era; "The Rare Bookstore: Tsutaya Juzaburo" (both published by Soshisha), a book by Tsutaju, the publisher behind Utamaro and Sharaku; "Joe's Dream" (Kodansha), which depicts the works of Niijima Jo and Tokutomi Soho; and "Education" (Shinchosha), which centers on young people working hard to establish the ideal elementary school. His upcoming publication is "People Who Make Delicious Sake" (Soshisha). His debut work, Endless Thirst, won the Bungeishunju Number Sports Nonfiction Newcomer Award and first place in the Bungeishunju Best Sports Nonfiction Awards, and his work The Anguish of Philippides (retitled The Runner Who Was Too Fast) won the Shogakukan Nonfiction Grand Prize for Excellence.
