Two limited edition beers, "Strata IPA" and "Strata Black IPA," made with noteworthy new hop varieties, will be released simultaneously.

Far Yeast Brewing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shiro Yamada) will release the limited edition "Far Yeast Strata IPA" and "Far Yeast Strata Black IPA ."

"Strata" is a new variety of hop that is attracting attention in the United States, and is imported to Japan by Farmers Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Sapporo, Hokkaido, CEO: Eiichi Aoki).
Known as "X-331," this hop is the first hop released by the Oregon Aroma Hop Breeding Program in Corvallis, Oregon. Discovered in 2009 at the Oregon Experiment Station, it is a descendant of the "Perle" hop. It has attracted particular attention among other hop breeding programs due to its strong disease resistance and complex, layered aroma and flavor characteristics.

In the United States, the home of craft beer, Sierra Nevada Brewing uses it as a finishing hop in their "Fresh Hop Session IPA." In Japan, we are the second to do so, following Phantom Brewery * Hobo Brewing's "Starlight Strata." We are also the first in Japan to release a bottled beer using "Strata."

* Finishing Hops are hops that add aroma to beer. **Phantom brewery is another name for a contract brewery, which does not have its own brewing facilities but brews beer through contract brewing.

"Far Yeast Strata IPA" offers the tropical and citrusy aroma of "Strata" hops, while "Far Yeast Strata Black IPA" has a refreshing, sweet malt flavor. Be sure to try both and enjoy the unique flavors of each.

The product will be available in two types: kegs and bottles. The kegs will be first opened at the Keyaki Hiroba Autumn Beer Festival , which will be held from Wednesday, September 5th. Both the kegs and bottles will then be available nationwide from the second half of September.
