Released "Far Yeast TAPECUT IIPA," the first brew at our own factory, "Genryu Brewery" (Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture).

Far Yeast Brewing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shiro Yamada) will release "Far Yeast TAPECUT IIPA" (Tape Cut Imperial IP A) in early June 2017. This is the ^first batch of Far Yeast's Tokyo-themed craft beer, brewed at the brewery's source.

"Far Yeast TAPECUT IIPA" is a limited edition beer, the first brewed at our company's Genryu Brewery in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture. It is a full-bodied Imperial IPA made with plenty of American hops, primarily Centennial.
Alcohol content is 8.0% and IBU* is 50.

*IBU: International Bitterness Units. A measure of bitterness. A typical pilsner usually has an IBU of 20-30.

Here is a comment from our brewer, Yanagi. "This is a commemorative beer that marks the beginning of Far Yeast. We aimed for a flavor that can be enjoyed even after aging, while also considering ease of drinking, and we focused on creating a balance between bitterness, alcohol, and aroma. This is our first beer, and we brewed it by trial and error, but we put a lot of thought into it, and we wanted it to be delicious! This is the beer that all of our brewers put their heart and soul into."

This product will be available in two varieties: kegs and bottles. We will start shipping kegs first.
Bottles are scheduled to ship in mid-June, and orders can be pre-ordered from today on the official store page.
