The Barrel Aged Fruited Sour has the blackcurrant and plum character of the base beer, but with the added oakiness and funkiness that is typical of Off Trail.

Off Trail, a brand that challenges new possibilities in craft beer, creates unique beers with rich and complex flavors by utilizing microorganisms other than beer yeast and using the barrel aging method of aging in wooden barrels. The finished product varies depending on the barrels and environment in which it is aged, so no two beers are ever the same.
In our brewery’s barrel room, we have about 80 barrel-aged beers at any given time, from which we select and blend the best combination of barrels each time to create a product.
Even if a single barrel is too stimulating or unique, we aim to create a well-balanced overall result by balancing the blending of the beers and sometimes adding fruits, herbs, and spices to increase the weight and complexity of the beer.
