Off Trail – Azeotrope Malt Gin Distiller’s Choice “beta
Off Trail – Azeotrope Malt Gin Distiller’s Choice “beta” is a blend of two carefully selected barrel-aged malt gins. One was distilled twice in pot stills at the Braeckman distillery in Belgium, which has a history of over 100 years, and aged for 25 months in red wine barrels. The second was distilled twice in pot stills at a domestic distillery and aged for 18 months in bourbon barrels. For botanicals, juniper berry, yuzu, and sansho were used to create a cool and accented aroma. The keynote of the top note is the powerful aroma from the red wine barrel aging. By blending with punchy bourbon barrel-aged base alcohol, we were able to create a finish that offers complexity and a lingering finish.

What is Off Trail – Azeotrope?
Off Trail – Azeotrope was born in October 2021 as a craft spirits brand that crosses over between beer and spirits. As a derivative brand of Off Trail, an advanced beer brewing project that utilizes microorganisms and barrel aging methods, Azeotrope is taking on the challenge of creating innovative spirits, liqueurs, and other products. Focusing on Geneva-style spirits, in which malt-derived spirits are barrel-aged, the brand aims to bring a new wind to the spirits realm by utilizing the fermentation and barrel-aging know-how cultivated in the beer brewing industry. Azeotrope” refers to the phenomenon of “azeotrope” in which two liquids with different boiling points are mixed in a certain ratio and boil together while maintaining their compositional ratios. The name “Azeotrope” is an image of the symbiosis between beer and spirits, which is our main area of business. .
